- Price. Free, timed tickets released three days ahead. Passport accepted at the staffed desk.
- Booking. The nine treasures are on floor 2 and everything else is context. Most visitors start at floor 1, run out of energy, and reach the good room tired. Take the lift to floor 2 first, then work down.
- Payment. Most Chinese sights take WeChat Pay or Alipay only. Cash works at staffed windows but not at self-service machines; a licensed guide can pay on your behalf and settle with you at the end of the day.
Getting there and when to go
Metro Line 2 to Guanhutun, exit B, 10 minutes walk. Or 20 minutes by car from Erqi Square; the museum sits on the north side of the agricultural road.
09:00–17:30, last entry 16:30. Closed Mondays.. The first hour after opening is the quietest — tour groups arrive around 09:30. Late afternoon gives better light but the main viewpoints start clearing people out, so shoot early if that is your priority.
Public transport reaches Henan Museum, but connections and waiting times add up. With luggage, older travellers, or two sights in one day, a car and driver removes the guesswork.
